The 22 RS frame is designed, cut, and welded in house. It has an 8 inch beam and a 12 inch tall AR400 main wedge. With a 22 ton cylinder and 22 gallon per minute hydraulic pump, the 22 RS has a fast cycle time of 6 seconds! This means less time and effort spent on splitting wood, and more time for everything else. Shipping
Our horizontal splitters can ship on a pallet, or via partial flatbed / hotshot trucking. If you have a freight terminal near you we can arrange freight to that location. Or, if a semi truck can get to your address, we can arrange a shipment with liftgate service. You could also pick up your new machine from the closest Wolfe Ridge dealer. Please note:
- If you have a machine shipped via partial flatbed or hotshot, you will need a piece of equipment for unloading. Such as a forklift, tractor or skid steer with pallet forks and sufficient lifting capacity.
- If you have your machine shipped LTL on a pallet, we can also offer optional liftgate service. Your new machine would get unloaded at the end of your driveway closest to the road – provided a semi truck can get to your address.

I have had my spliter for about 6 months now. Before I ordered it I questioned whether 22 ton was enough power. I split 95% oak and not had any trouble. I would recommend the table extension. When I first got this I felt like a 9 year old that just got a red Ryder bb gun.

Order the RS22 as my first splitter. Picked up machine in late Dec ‘24 and had rounds waiting for it. Machine is amazingly quick. 22t is more than enough for anything I can lift onto the machine. ACV is the way to go if you are looking for output. Put about 2 cords through it already and it’s never missed a beat. Average about 3/4 cords throughput an hour working at a reasonable pace. Amazing support from Wolfe Ridge before I bought, questions during the wait and even a few questions after I picked the machine up. Every time I asked I had answers in less than 24 hrs. Likely will need to get a conveyor in the long run as you can bury the machine in split wood in 25 min. Great machine, great product, great support.
